This is based on a Buddhist philosophy but is still valid and applicable in multi or even non-faith environments. It has become a quite common technique in therapy in dealing with emotional issues or managing long-term problems or illness.

About the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy course

The elements of this course comprise a range of techniques around personal reflection using the concept of mindfulness, and relating closely to the National Occupational Standards for Healing. Further training in the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including consideration of the revised Counselling National Occupational Standards, is also provided and the two concepts interact to form Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MBCBT). This relatively new theory is gaining support with its evidence based approach flowing from a philosophical model base.

This course is recognised for professional membership of the Society for Holistic Therapists and Coaches.
