About

Business Management covers a wide area of responsibility and disciplines and is concerned with the direction and organisation of resources in order to achieve business objectives eg sales of a product or awareness of an issue. It combines many areas of expertise from human resource management to marketing to production to finance – and it is important to understand the relationship between all of these and how to organise the process to be effective and productive.

Managers also need to be able to produce strategies and plans to achieve them and have the capacity to assess organisational performance and take remedial measures when things are not going to plan.
